What do you think about Save Phace masks?
I just ordered one, I have used them in the past and really like them. What do you think?

I would never buy one. Look and fit stupid. Foam is uncomfortable, cant breath out of them. They ecco a lot and some have issues with fogging. They are pricey as well. But if you want to run around your local paintball field every Sunday looking like it's Halloween be my guest.

Don't let this one opinion bother you.. Masks are a personal preference. I will warn you that save phace masks are rigid and if you get shot in the mask, don't expect it to bounce. Try it out and if you don't like em return them

They are extremely rigid and the foam really isn't that great.

i wouldn't say they are uncomfortable.the foam is a little weak, but good enough.if you have a larger face they will not cover forehead to chin.maybe if they could make a save phace xl model that would help.just a little larger for big guys.it was no big deal for me.i gave the mask to my kid.she is 11 years old and doesn't complain when shot in the head.i guess there are some weak players out there.i do like them but like i said the mask doesn't cover and my chin hangs out the bottom.here in missouri it does get humid.the thermal lens works good enough.it does fog(a little)when it's hot out but what mask doesn't.i would give them a 7/10 imo.i think i'm going to try the jt proflex mask to see how they work.

Flexes are great masks, and consistently get great reviews! They are customizable, can have a low profile, have great ventilation, and decent facial protection.

They, Save Phace, used to have a forum on here, and some of the "execs" would make some off the wall comments, and the people sponsored by them, and on Pb Nation, would defend them up and down. At least until it was shown that the comment was off the wall, without basis, much less factuality. But, it's funny, because the subforum for them lasted about a year, and seemingly, the people that were sponsored by them, and swearing up and down about how great the masks were, were doing the same with some other companies masks.
Now I can't remember everyone that did this, but I remember someone from the paintball team Band of Brothers when they were sponsored by them. I saw the same guy, the next year, wearing Events and swearing up and down about how much better they were over everything else. So yeah, I get how you are supposed to rep your sponsors over all else. But, if they are so great, and they were sponsored, then why, in 2009, when the team was sponsored by Save Phace, per here: http://www.catshackreports.com/2009/...aintball-team/, were they wearing Events and VForce masks at UWL that very year, per here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...1806160&type=3
As to the actual mask, it's hard, and yeah, they look cool. I can't say that I have worn them, but it seems to go back and forth between people saying that they breathe alright, and don't fog, to as many that say that breathing was difficult and they fogged. Not sure if the mask depends upon the person, or if they get bad batches that go out as often as they get good batches.

Interesting... in that pic they are wearing vents, grillz, flex 8, etc. But to be fair, teams change sponsors all the time, so this isn't surprising. However, you do raise a good point: that when you're asking for advice for a good mask, you have to consider who you are asking. Some sponsored players will be incredibly biased. Best advice: go to your local proshop and try on as many masks as possible, until you find a mask that fits you best.

Yeah, but you don't often hear of a team changing a sponsor mid season. And they seemingly still have Save Phace as a sponsor, who only does masks, nothing else like jerseys.
I suppose you could hit up their own forum to see if there is anything else.

I have two of them, bought as a gift from my fiancee. They are a little hard for paintball but ideal for airsoft. I think they are neat, and if you like them so be it. All that matters is what you like, not what others say. they fit ok but im a big guy so I have a big head lol...

I have worn them and personally they are terrible. They are uncomfortable, fog, and just plain low-end garbage. Get some grillz or proflexes they are much more worth your money

I got one last year as a gift. I have an e-vents that I really like, but sometimes I wear the save phace. I have a smaller head, so it's not that uncomfortable. It is pretty rigid, but I have never had a problem with fogging. A mask is like a glove, if it works right for you, it might not fit anyone else. Just try a few on and see what you feel is best.

I don't like them, I think what people like about them is the different designs on the mask. I don't like the shape of the mask and there isn't a lot of breathing holes...

I have the Save Phace "diablo." The mask is comfortable to me and very rarely fogs (I play in SoCal), the other guys are right though, you get hit in mask and ball will break - no doubt.

I tried one on at my local shop. It was really uncomfortable and cluster-phobic. It really didn't fit many people according to the owner. I think there's better masks for he money.
