That was me, I didn't think to check here, I was talking about the actual university forum, sorry it took a while.

I'm a sophomore at iowa as well and would be intersted. I've played in tournaments before so i have experience. My roommate is also very interest let me know if you are still trying to restart this team i could get some stuff in motion since i presently attend the university. I can also talk to velocity paintball in iowa city, i think me and my roommate drop enough money there to maybe set up some deal.

Velocity has almost 0 interest in sponsoring a team. They will agree to something with you if you setup/clean/teardown there fields though.

That's just what I've seen over the past decade. Best of luck to you though.

I don't think people realize how crazy sponsorships have gotten in paintball, and now that its contracted, and become that much harder...I remember in the 90's when people paid 10 bucks above cost and considered that sponsorship and they were proud of that.

I'm headin into the office tomorrow to get some info and stuff, get a better picture of what needs to happen.

those three things need be done by the time we head in there, i'll do them, but i need things like names, and hawkid's, and we need to find a faculty member that will put up with us, we also need to write up a constitution of sorts, so doing this by tomorrow won't happen

here's an idea:

anyone interested e-mail me your name, an e-mail you regularly check and/or phone number and also your status as a student (incoming freshmen, sophomore, etc) to evan-altmix@uiowa.edu with a subject saying something in relation to this and i'll get a contact list going. to start a club we need to fill out the two forms i posted above and some other things, i'm willing to put my name on them which means i need two more. we also "need" (it says it's recommended) a staff member to put their name on it. we also need to put together a constitution of sorts, we can get together at the library or something once school gets going and we can put it all together. to form a club we need atleast 5 people 2.51 of which are students (51%), but for the national college paintball thing we all need to be students.
