Couldn't find the old appraisal thread - Please price VS3

Hey guys,

I know there used to be a fairly active appraisal thread, but I wasn't able to find a current one. I am looking to sell off my VS3 and would like to get some advice if I should keep it together or part out the reg and ASA. Below are the specs and pictures. Thanks.

Marker:
VS3 body (trimmed to allow all barrels)
VS2 grip frame
CP "Rake" style trigger
Tadao circut board
Tadao M7 upgrade chip
CP reg adaptor
Palmer's Fatty Stabilizer
New Designz Qwik-flip ASA
black macro line fittings

Additional Parts:
charger
(3) different weight valve springs for tuning
micro switch
sear capacitor
sear and spring
screws

about 100 or so. I might start a thread around 150 shipped and start barganing from their.

you might consider putting a cheaper reg and bottomline and throw them in as an upgrade should somebody be actually willing to pay you.

I would if I could, but I sold the other regs and asa I had about a year ago. That is why I am asking if it would be better to sell the marker with or without them.

Thanks for the advice though.

In that case you're going to take a hit either way. Incomplete guns sell for significantly less than it costs to finish the gun and are quite a bit more difficult to move.

In complete condition you'll be looking at $80-$150 (paypal'd and shipped.) Incomplete (without the reg and ASA) maybe $50-$75 if you can find a buyer at all and that's a very generous high end figure.
2k2 Intimidators can easily be had for $150 so you're going to have to compete with that.

The extra capacitor you mentioned is actually a solenoid. The capacitor is the blue component in your frame between the board and solenoid.

You are right. I just looked it up the other day to make sure I had the right name for it ... and still blew it. Thanks.

I would hold firm at $150 based on the aftermarket parts on it palmers, tadao board and chip sling trigger by themselves equal 150. I would just hold on to it it is probably the best it can be as a vs2. Its a solid marker. The minor scratches by barrel and stock feedneck ding it a little.

Spyder parts have gone down.

Tadao VS board- $15.00
The chip- $20.00
CP sling- $30.00.
There is $65.00 for new stuff.

The going rate for a VS2 (which this really is) is holding around $130.00 New

Cp reg adapter- $15.00
PALMERS Fatty- $70.00
NDZ Quick Flip- $30.00
Holes and macro crap lets throw another $10 bucks.

All Together 180 in upgrades and about $320 for someone to build this new. Probably more since you'd have to get a VS2 trigger and a VS3 body.

50% is about $150 mark and what one would expect to get out of this setup. The reason this is the going rate is that you can pick up an electra or fenix for around that. Yes they are different markers but your trying to sell to some kid that doesn't know jack or one us that can pick it apart. If i were to try and buy this one, I'd try hard to hastle you down, but the big selling points are the fatty and extra parts on a complete gun. With out the fatty or good reg i wouldn't give more than 100 and just start looking elsewhere.

I'd keep the palmers and throw a junk reg on it. Pick up an used ion reg that nobody wants or if your really carefull you might find a RS/RSX reg that should just screw right on.

One thing I learned while in a gun whoring club, upgrades don't add much if any value to a marker unless it's something that is an absolute must buy (like older Bob Long guns didn't come with an ASA.)
Upgrades simply make a marker easier to sell or trade, there is no direct correlation to an increased value.

Don't forget the shipping costs for these as these are prices you find on ebay or paintball online stores

Thanks again to all who have posted advice. You have confirmed some ideas I had and opened my eyes to other things I probably wouldn't have guessed.
