HELP! Luxe is leaking out the feedneck!

Hey nation,

My luxe 1.0 has a leak coming out of the feedneck, and I've read the stickies and followed their instructions, but alas, there is still a small leak! I've changed the bolt guide tip o-ring and the other o-rings have been replaced as well. I've lubed and re-lubed, and the bolt is polished and sprung, and I have no idea what the heck is wrong! Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

rplace the rings on the front of the can first try the exterior ring, then the interior ring. then try the front oring on the bolt guide. that should do it

Usually it's always the Size 13 oring on the tip of the bolt guide.

yep, almost all leaks and problems with luxes are oring related (especially the bolt system/core)

You have to change out o-rings one at a time. You can't do many simultaneously. It's likely the front can o-ring. The fact that it's coming out of the feed neck means that the pressure is slipping through the bolt while in resting position. Check to make sure the size of o-ring is the proper size and also check to make sure you are not over pressurizing the marker through the reg. Each can cause leaks. Report back and we'll go from there.

Do not change all the orings. Change the first oring in the can and see if the leak stops first. Id also check the oring on the tip of the bolt guide.

Already replaced the bolt guide oring and it still leaks so I assume it's the can oring that's causing it. I will mess with those and see where I am at.

Yeh, try the first inner can oring (closest to feedneck). dissassemble powercore, remove and check the first inner can oring for damage, when installing the new oring lube it and put some on the tip of the bolt and insert the front of the bolt and spread lube around with the tip so it only contacts the first inner can oring. It should fit in snug and not fall out on it's own.

Your new luxe looks awesome by the way. Sounds quiet and didn't move whatsoever in ur video!

Yeah I replaced the farthest forward oring in the can, and it helped a small bit but there's still a leak and I also swapped out the oring on the back of the bolt guide so it's definitely something to do with orings in the can I would imagine.

Did u do the middle one? The third one is probably your best bet since the front one had an impact. You have to pull outer 2 inner can orings to fit the middle. I never had the middle go yet just the outside 2.

Did you change the oring on the tip of the bolt guide? I'd also look for a bad outer oring on the can.

Would using Dow 55 fix the leak and seal it better and not cause any FSDO?

Id stay away from 55 since it is known to swell orings.

Yes but I am still getting leaks after changing out orings, wouldn't it be a good idea to get a better seal by using the Dow 55?

Try some 55. The idea is that it swells orings. A polished boot that hasn't been anodized can continue to wear. Eventually it will affect sealing ability. Dow 55 can fix this. Bob Long has his markers use dow 55 so that the orings swell to a perfect fit. Quite honestly if you can't get the 13 tip oring to seal with any Oring you'll prolly have to use Dow 55 or a thicker lube like marmalade or lurker lube. They've solved most of my luxe issues in the past. Alas I don't use a luxe anymore so I don't worry about it much
