Trracer?
So, my rail is sent to the factory, and Ive been wanting to try pump for a while. What do you guys think of a trracer? I know it may not be as good as say a phantom, but I only plan on using it when I wanna have some fun with the newbs, so I just wanted to hear you guys opinions.
Oh, and what barrel threads are they?

'cocker threaded, awesome gun. Has the autotrigger when you need a bit more firepower, and although has a stiffer pump stroke than other pumps, it just feels natural for the gun.
Biggest complaint I have is the backbottle. Throw a bottomline kit on it and its an awesome cheap gun. Another thing to note is that the pump arm feels just a bit flimsy because its plastic- with the stock barrel, you don't notice it because it is a lot thicker where the pump handle is so the pump rides directly on the barrel... I haven't tried another barrel, but I don't think the pump stroke would feel quite right.
Depending on if you prefer milsim/speedball styled guns, maybe consider the Azodin Kaos Pump too; the other entry pump gun choice. You can pick those up for around $125 used, so cost difference isn't really an issue. Only issue I had was small paint rolled out of the stock barrel.

Trracer aren't cocker threaded and they cost about $40 so a big difference from an Azodin Kaos pump as far as cost.
Trracers are nice little nelson valved markers, and are pretty decent for their price. My only complaints are the grip is plastic, and its barrel threads are unique so its hard to find barrels for them.

Trracers are definitely cocker threaded. . .
Look like a nice entry level pump marker. Unless you go for a trilogy or something like that. Preference is the key.

The new Empire Trracer is cocker threaded, the old version is not. And "used" was specified for a $125 KP; same as the new version of the Trracer.
Although it sounds like the decision has already been made; hope you enjoy it! They're slick guns for the price.
TrueTexan has a bit of a point though, for around $40 you could pick up an old trracer just to test pump play. All depends on how much you want to spend and, again, personal preference.

They should have named the Empire Trracers "New Trracer", "Trracer 2" or "TRRRacer".
Naming them the same as the orig PMI guns might lead some new owners astray when shopping for barrels.
