Did you change the dials on the solenoid?
Flip over the black reg seal in the HPR.
Put the dwell to stock.
Change the battery regardless what the meter says.

Just got an 09 ego which had a blown pilot valve. Replaced it and it shoots but with low velocity with the reg at 160psi (holds a steady pressure). Replaced the orings on the rammer. New copper top battery. LPR flush. What should I try next?

Plank kit in upside down?
Did you clean the solenoid spool?
Rammer orings.
#10 inner LPR body oring.
Dwell should be roughly 11.
Up your HPR to 200psi.

Make sure there is no paint. Gas up the marker with the barrel off. Pull the bolt pin up and slide the bolt forward. Does it get louder? If so, it is one of the following 4 issues:

1) Replace the Exhaust valve (poppit).
2) Replace the Exhaust valve guide orings.
3) Replace the Exhaust guide (valve body).
4) The valve spring is bent or not sitting in the valve chamber properly.

If it gets louder with the bolt in the rear position, you need to replace the front #9 rammer oring.

Swap out three orings:
#16 on the inline reg piston
#11 on the inline regulator adjuster top
#8 inside the inline regulator adjuster top

You may also want to try flipping over the seal that is between the adjuster top and adjuster screw.

Hey Bill,

I recently did this to my sl74:

and I was looking for a replacement feedneck. I'm looking at your selection on showcase and I'm a little confused. Does the sl74 use the same feedneck as the ego 8? I just want to make sure it fits the body milling properly. Color doesn't really matter at this point.

EGO7 thru the EGO11 have the same feedneck dimensions.

So, this weekend I went to play and couldn't get the velocity above 240ish.

Tried all of the following:

-Reset Board (2 New batteries)
-Toyed with dwell a little
-Fully took apart HPR and checked/lubed shims
-Slight adjustments to LPR
-Took apart marker and relubed moving parts (With exception of Delrin Bolt)
-Tried multiple barrels to assure it wasnt a bore size issue

Any ideas? Tonight im gonna take apart noid but aside from that I'm lost....

So this weekend, i was running drills and my ego9 stopped firing right in the middle of a lane i was shooting. I was in semi capped at 12.5, my dwell is currently set at 6.5, with the lpr at 1 turn in from flush.

I then took the grips off and noticed that the micro switch had some serious side to side play and seemed to be more loose then normal, and it would register sometimes but not all and would not activate a cycle with air what so ever, my trigger was far enough out that it wouldnt keep the microswitch completely activated. I switched to the opto switch and adjsuted the trgier and it worked fine the rest of the day, but i personally do not liek the opto switch at all and i was wondering, new board or.....IDK?

thanks for your help

This 09 ego has the turrets (?) instead of the plank kit. Would they make a difference in velocity over the plank kit? I cleaned and lubed spool, replaced (again) the rammer orings and the inside 010 lpr oring. New battery again. At 200psi velocity is 228-232. About the same as it is at 160psi. Won't get to 280 unless the psi is near 300. Dwell is 11.3. Could it be a weak spool spring?

1) buy a new screw/screw kit
2) put a very small amount of JB weld (5 minute stuff) on something metal that can be easily turned.
3) attach said metal item to screw
4) allow JB weld to cure overnight
5) turn and unscrew eye cover screw

Again, only use a small amount of JB weld to attach the item to the screw. This is what I would do.

Hey bill, what does turning the lpr in and out do? Does screwing it in increase velocity?

Hey, Having a problem with my ego 11, it will not shoot at its cap speed at 15 bps when eyes are on, but with eyes off it does shoot 15bps it gets to about 13.9 when eyes are on.. reason to this problem was i accidentally set it to factory settings, and now my caps are at 15 bps , both of them. and it wont go above 13 . and no its not cause i cant shoot that fast , cause ive hit up to 21 . its annoying .

What is the ID of the top tube of an ego supposed to be? Has this number changed over the years?

Same question as well, but regarding the OD of ego bolts.
