I saw the dissasembly video and it looks like everything is well built. $300-400 is pricy but it's similar to the pricing on the JCS and the old Scepter Launcher (no longer made). One of my friends has both the scepter and that Tippmann EGL47. I don't think either are adjustable in their FPS but I might be mistaken. Also, they are heavy like a brick.

My favorite thing about the HAVOC is that they have a insert for that 12 paintballs can be shot out of it without wadding or any device to hold the paintballs. It just fits inside the barrel and the gun shoots air through the chambers that hold the paintballs. I think they are coming out with a breech load accessory that lets you load it from the back like the JCS ones do. Looks pretty promissing.
a rocket launcher is kinda supposed to be bulky. that being said the jcs shoots very poorly in my opinion it doesnt have the balls to fire a rocket anywhere near the 230 chrono limit. at least mine doesn't and it has a new spring and all. i think im lucky to get 160 out of it. which sucks

JCS launchers can be modified to resemble a RPG, using
some spare PVC fittings a ATF funnel from Walmart and
a couple of real RPG components which come from a firm
in California. Anyone want some tips on how to convert
their into one can drop me a note. Here's a clip of me
using one so you can see how it turns out.

Enjoy!

When the Alias was built there were no other launchers produced and the general rule of thumb for velocity on a law was 170-190, producers and fields were more concerned with the things not blowing up. Having been hit in the head by both now, as a photographer (occupational hazard) I'd much rather be hit with the Alias as it only dislodged my mask while the Havoc took them off. If you have to ask how I got hit the head twice, I'm 6'4" and alot of shooters haven't quite managed that trajectory yet. Not sure what the average velocity is now though but pushing over 170, don't get hit the head.
I'm not sure what you mean by shooting poorly, once you figure the trajectory it's stupid how accurate it is, at least I am with mine.
It's also important to note the JCS was not made as a direct fire device, but indirect. The instructions tell you not to fire straight on so you need to learn the trajectory.
