Geo2 Trigger Factory Defect?
So i just picked up a Geo2 used and as always broke it down first thing to give it a good deep clean. I had noticed the trigger had quite a bit of slop side to side and discovered this when i got in there:
I assume this is supposed to be like my Ego7 where there is a little set screw that keeps the trigger pin from walking out like this? I am guessing this is a factory defect because the malformed threads are anno'd nicely...
Can someone confirm this for me?
Thanks!

swanky, thanks! i will contact PE.
EDIT: Just learned this is in fact how all Geo2 triggers are milled for some reason. The set screw comes up from the bottom... figured i would post this in case someone else thought the same thing i did.
EDIT2: im not just talking to myself... someone posted that there was supposed to be a set screw there but later deleted their comment.

it comes up through the trigger, right? The third spot from the front? Or, somewhere else? I have the same issue, where the trigger has a lot of play when that pin slips out of place, and I think there are spots where a set screw could go, but I don't see a screw anywhere.
Did you get a replacement screw, or did you find it somewhere buried in the trigger and I just need to take mine apart?
Thanks,

It's not a Geo2, honest..

There should be five screw holes through the face of the trigger - two at the front, top of the trigger (front trigger stop and magnetic return strength), two through the rear of the trigger face (rear trigger stop and microswitch actuation adjustment), and one that passes diagonally through the trigger in the corner where the top of the trigger and the face of the trigger meet. It is the diagonal screw that clamps the trigger pivot in place now, as compared to older Planet triggers, where the clamping screw was on top of the trigger.

so i emailed PE, they got back to me yesterday:

Thank you for your recent email and enquiry.
Was there a set screw in the hole that you have pictured? If not there should be as it is used to retain the trigger pin.
Please confirm the above along with the fact that you have registered your marker for warranty via:

As Uziel stated there is a set screw that comes up through the bottom of the trigger at an angle (yes, the thirds screw from the front). However the Geo2 Tech poster does not show this screw??
See screw 22 "Trigger Pin Locking Set Screw". It appears it is a larger screw coming from the top?

The screw on the top of trigger most back towards the gun will solve that problem. Push pin back in and tighten the back screw and just leave it

That would have solved the problem... i figured out why it was loose in the first place though... someone over-tightened the set screw...

New trigger would fix it... I like the stock trigger and have a WTB thread up but haven't gotten any bites.
It only bent because of the goofy milling of that hole though... I will get a better picture up later. If the trigger is defective I would want it replaced... If it was just some dumb mistake I will buy a new trigger... I expect to replace a part or two on a used marker (usually its o-rings though :p)

Perhaps an area for improvement on future models...
