There's like a hundred thousand GTA IV mod videos, and a lot of them have better video recording programs, I should probably look into it if I wanted to make more gameplay videos, but meh.

You're asking what hardware a simple peasant such as myself is using? I feel like I've just been knighted.
Intel Q9450 at around 3.3 GHz.
Muskin 2x2gb DDR2
EVGA GTX 460 768mb
Two Hitachi 1tb hard drives RAID 0, got each of these for $45, lol.
Creative x-fi titanium HD sound card(obviously doesn't matter to video quality, but it's one of the more significant items in the build I guess).
Also, some dfi pk-35(?) "lanparty" board, Antec earthwatts 500w, some Zalman mid tower I got for like $15.

Just because he has a nice build doesn't mean he's a douchebag. This isn't OCN

I think I'm going to do 680's over 7970s. Every review/bench seems to favor the 680. Plus, it's cheaper.

Dealnews has an SSD over 200gb (I think 240 or 256, whatever is common) for $200. DO want, but it's some weird brand.

1920x1080 60hz
Put high for all settings except Night shadows which I turned off because it really bogs it down.
Texture filter quality anisotropic x4
The three bars you can adjust 1-100 are all at 50, definition and vsync on.

Yeah, I take back what I said about 680s a few weeks ago. If you're running one or maybe two monitors 680s are better me thinks

Are you playing a steam version of the game? That's what I'm using. I have few mods installed for alot of quick keystrokes for god mode, car spawning, character changing and a **** ton more.
I was trying to use a car pack mod. Cars looked great. But it caused the textures to do really weird things. Like if i hit escape to go into the menu, it would turn the whole map (other than cars, people, and other random objects) blue. If I started driving, it would generate the texture but would randomly mess up and not load things properly.
Any idea why it would do that?

Nope. I don't really create cars or new designs, just edit files.
I want GTA V already. One of the many things I want them to put in it is a fairly large office building or something where you can actually go into it and screw around, that and some animals or something crazy in the wilderness areas.
I have the boxed PC version. Do you have liberty city stories? I should probably buy that now with how much time I've spent on this game.

Changing the handling numbers makes the game a lot harder because I can't resist just flooring it all the time. I inevitably end up upside down or way out in the water. Are there any cars that can't flip over, like the golf cart in vice city?
Also, GTA 4 is awesome in eyefinity, and for some reason it runs a million times better in 5760x1200 with most of the settings maxed (view distance 80, shadow quality high, aniso 8x) than it does in 1920x1200 with everything maxed. What a cruel game.

The 6X0 series cards are so cool. This may be dumb, but do you guys think they will release 650, 660, 670 cards? I'd like to upgrade to a 670 since 680s are out of my price range.
Overall, I'm really happy with how this 560 2gb card is performing. Decent temperatures (I'm working on this), awesome frame rates, GREAT visuals, and it wasn't very expensive! I'd love to get a second one

Yes there will be more 600 cards than the 680.
Don't get a second 560. If you want to upgrade and don't want a 680 or 7970. get a 670/670ti/660ti/660/650ti2/675ti/678se or a 7950.

Well, part of the reason I used the ice cream truck, Mr. Tasty, is because even though it does flip over, you can use the wasd keys to flip it upright 99% of the time, it doesn't get stuck as often on it's back, probably because of the strategically placed ice cream cones on the front of it.
Their may be a way to edit the handling numbers of the vehicles to make them stick to the road better, but I haven't been able to do it myself.
EDIT: Oh, and also, if you change the buoyancy stat to a negative number like -50, and you land in fairly deep water, the car will sink and eventually resurface on land, you won't drown in it.

I want a 680, don't get me wrong. They are just out of the price range.
Once I can see comparisons between my current card and the new 670s I'll consider one. My current 560 bench tests in the mid range of 570s.

Would selling your 560 cover the increase?
I'm picking one up as soon as Newegg gets some EVGA cards back in stock.
