Golden 98 Custom!!!!

Well one day I got bored and decided to see what I could do with my 98 custom. So I started thinking about what I could do to it and I started thinking about Goldeneye on the 64. After that I decided I needed a golden gun XD haha Here are the pics of the process I took it through. Any suggestions on how to do it better are appreciated.

And here is the final product!

I prefer to sandblast and use grey primer, but yours looks pretty good. Better than my TAC5, but that was done in high humidity.

What paint did you use? It looks really smooth.

How the heck did you get the left receiver half apart like that? I thought it was all one piece!

Newer models have the split halves.

@2nwyka Yea, I bought this 98 about 2 or 3 months ago and it was already split (Best change they have ever done) haha

@Rubbr Chickin Yea, The next one I do i'm deff going to sandblast it! Way better then spending an hour sanding each piece and still having it be a little uneven. For the paint I just got regular spray paint from home depot. I used a primer, then metallic Gold paint, and I ended it with a crystal clear enamel. The guy who helped me do this told me to hold the spray paint about 15 inches away and let the paint mist on so it'll be even. I'll let you know what the exact spray paint was next time i'm at the shop. I'm taking it out to the field tomorrow so we'll see how well the paint handles when it gets hit with a paintball.. haha

Sounds good! I have no Home Depot or Lowes stores near me so I have to make special trips. The kind I had wasnt the best, wasnt very shiny.

Alright So I took it out today and it got shot up a couple times, The paint did not break from the shots... I was really excited but then I bumped it into something and scratched the paint on one side. So I'm thinking that I should get nicer paint and then bake the paint into the gun.... ?

Baking will probably take away your shine. Im not sure if you can get a harder coat of crystal clear or not. Annodizing would be your best bet if youre afraid of scratching.
