I have been looking at finally getting a good pair of paintball pants (camo shorts are just not cutting it anymore). Does it really just come down to design work as to what you like the look of and the material / "features" are all about the same or are there some that really stand out? Looking through the review of some of the Dye, Empire and PE pants, most people gave them 5 stars across the board.

Check out the dye c12 and valken redemption pants, my two favorites. I look for a combo of padding/breathability.

Empire Contact pants have a TON of padding (seriously, it's almost hockey-like), and everything that isn't padded is really well ventilated.

Nice, I will look into those. I really do need some good padding on my knees. They ain't what they used to be.

What is the major difference between the Contact and the Contact Zero pants?
