HPA powered airsoft guns?
Why don't they have these? I'd play airsoft a bit more and get into it a little more if I didn't have to worry about ordering 20 cans of "Green gas" or keeping a battery charged.

It detracts from realism quite a bit. However if they put the container in the stock of the gun, i dont see why that couldnt work!

You'd probably run out of air before battery. Green gas is basically only for pistols unless you use a gas rifle which is usually pricey. Just get an AEG and the battery will last you a longgggg time, especially if you get a big one or LiPo.

Once they figure out how to make gas magazines more affordable, I think you will see more gas operated guns. However, charging a battery in the stick where I live is a hell of a lot easier then finding someone how has compressor to fill tanks.
A few years back I remember seeing a skorpian SMG being powered off a remote CO2 tank.
And "green gas" is just scented and lubricated propane. You can buy a fill adapter for the propane tanks and fill stuff off of a camping cylinder. I buy one and it lasts me the summer.

Ah, I never knew you could fill from propane. That makes complete sense now.

All airsoft guns used to be hpa or co2 external air rigs.
They are now called "classic guns", these were before Tokyo Marui introduced AEG's.

You can do HPA mods to gas guns by tapping into the mag and using a remote line to go to the tank. However, it wears your parts down faster.

False, civilians can buy rap4 markers. Police, military, etc. do get a discount though if i'm correct.
Problem though.. The new x-power series isn't compatible with aeg conversion kits. As stated in the link in the last quote reply.
So you'd have to find the last version. Their were three versions in the last series. They still sell the old METS (military.. enhanced.. thingymajig.. or somethin.) version on the site, but it shoots too hot for airsoft field limits.

I wouldn't mind picking that up if I had the money. DM fps is 500fps at my field.

Polar star pr15 uses a remote line, and low pressure tank. Look in to it. Also, it does require a small battery (you can use an 8.4) just to power the chip inside it. Contact Evike.com if you have questions on it.
Btw I most likely wont be back to this page, so no replies if further questions sorry.

the polarstar pr15 sort of reminds me of a paintball gun. runs off of any paintball HPA tank with a chip inside. velocity and rate of fire can be adjusted just like a paintball gun. Shortyusa has them with a little info about them, but there a little pricey just to run off compressed air, plus im sure parts are much easier to come by for a standard gearbox as opposed to a rap4 style set up.
