Chrono issues
IM not usually one to complain about things at events, I understand that theres a lot of hard work that goes into puttingthese things together. I was even debating making this thread.
But I saw a lot of issues with the chronos. Either them not working or giving very different readings. On Friday I had one chrono read 250's and then before the game 280's then during the game 309. The ref almost pulled me but then said he "wasnt sure if it was working" all of that went down within a matter of moments. My marker was working as it should and I noticed no velocity spiking issues.
Saw several instances of last minute chrono issues where the devices just read different information. I brought it up and was informed that they were "all calibrated the same" i understand fully the concept of bore size, paint, pressure fluctuations and how paintball guns work. By the end of the event I saw less and less issues, but I still wasnt pleased with the chronos at the station set up by the air. I didnt even bother with the station ones most of the time because the field ones would read something very different.

+- 50 on any gun has to be either a gun problem or a chrono problem... and since your gun was fine it only leaves 1 option. which chrono's did they have btw?

Yeah these new handheld chrono's need to be perfected.
Myself and a teammate both got pulled at the same time b/c the chrono's read both of our guns at 304 at the exact same time during a game when were across field from each other.

I thought they were a little iffy. They should just stick to the big red ones. They seem to be pretty accurate

The issue of the ones at the area by the air stations beside the paint trucks was brought up. I had seen multiple times players going into the settings area of them and messing around without even knowing what they were doing.
I was told they would put event locks on them for the rest of the NPPL events and hopefully that will sort out the issues of people screwing around with them. Also suggested there be a simple print out for people to know how to use them easier.

I heard the virtue clock is extremely consistent, but all the others I've seen do very a ton

Like what ones? I have the yellow handheld and it reads pretty consistently. I can't say I have ever run into this.

My team ran into that as well, more specifically me, chrono'd at 275-280 consistently at the yellow chrono, but the handheld chronos all read well over 300 but even they varied quite a bit

The Virtue clocks are a nightmare but if handled correctly, they SEEM to work alright. It would be nice to have some sort of instructions on how you use them. It seems to matter based on the angle you're pointing it at, if you release the trigger, etc.

I chronoed my gun with 4 separate chronos, 3 black virtue handhelds and a yellow. All within 5 mins of each other. 1 handheld read 250-270, 1 310-330, and 1 said I shot 267 every time. The yellow chrono was between 280-290. They were really inconsistent.
I dont want to be pulled for a gun that passes one chrono but fails another. Didnt happen to me, but it sounds like it happened to others.

every chrono was reading a bit different but when I was checked there was only a 10/15 fps difference. Some guys claiming 70+ fps difference is a pretty major issue.
