I could only imagine how difficult it is to keep up with those stats, but Im glad they're doing it. Way more interesting then the stats the NPPL has promised to produce.

I glanced at them. Seems pretty interesting. Looking forward to having a larger pool of games to get a better statistical average.

There are no stats the PSP could do that the NPPL couldnt with those chips in the guns..
my only beef is that the +/- is pretty much the same as the W-L

I like the idea of the nppl chips but not for divisional players. If the pros had them in the psp that would be sweet.

G count? Hit off break? Infraction?
The chips tell you how many shots you fired. Then correlates that with time and wins.

When I asked Mike Paxson about the chips, he said that they just tell how many shots you fire, how long you are in the game (constant shooting or small interval between shots). There is NOTHING in the chip that can tell G counts, penalties, shot off break, etc. That is something that a team of stat geeks have to watch the games for. The chip just helps to see how long a person is in the match and how much they shoot. If they are only shooting 2500 shots in a tournament, then they are not shooting much. If they shoot 25000, they are blazing away and probably wasting a lot of paint.

+/- represents that you were on the field when a point was won or lost. So it will almost directly correlate with the matches outcome. Individually it won't reflect it over an entire season. But if you are on a losing team you are, realistically, going to have a low +/- rating.
+: for a point won
-: for a point lost
(if you were unaware of how it worked.)
