How does a mag work?

Hi, 'Nation!
I know, it's a total noob question, but I've never even seen an actual Automag, let alone taken one apart! How exactly does it work? I've studied the animation

but I can't seem to figure out it's MO!
The sear seems to let the bolt travel forwards under air pressure while at the same time sealing off the back part, which I'm assuming is some kind of valve/regulator type thing?
Sorry, I know 'Cockers inside and out, but 'Mags might as well be a phaser or lightsaber for all I know! If you could identify parts for me and take me through the firing cycle, that would be amazing!
Again, this is just to add to my knowledge base and possibly get me familiar with Automags before I buy one! Thanks in advance!
Noah

The back part is the regulator.

When you pull the trigger it lowers the sear (which raises that back part and seals the chamber) and the bolt goes forward under pressure, firing the ball. The bolt is returned by a spring while air pressure pushes the sear back in the "cocked" position which catches the bolt and holds it back again for the next shot.

At least I think I got that right.

That's cool! I've never really looked at the internals of a 'Mag.

It reminds me of a mechanical blow-forward dump valve spool!

Okay, I see the bolt springs now!
I assume that the regulator in the back is sealed by the sear as the bolt travels forwards with each shot, and the bolt springs simply return it to the open-bolt position.
Okay, I've tried to label everything relevant, so correct me if I'm wrong:

Thanks for the help, guys!

So what exactly is the technical name for the valve system? It definitely isn't a poppet, and it doesn't quite look like a spool...

We just call it a mechanical blow forward.
