My Half Mini Midget :P

So I bought a 2K right hand feed body and was unsure what to do with it. So, it's time for a build.....

I decided to try and do everything, took 3/4" off of the back of the body, mini'd the front end, and half blocked it. I also decided to can the sight rail as it is just useless now. Here are the results so far:

Started with this:

Here it is with the front block retapped and installed after all the machine work:

The body I bought was also missing the feedneck, so I made my own, still needs to be cut to length:

Looks good, but I think there might be some young whippersnappers lollygaggin on your front lawn.

Always good to see quality build threads.

Well after measuring once again I noticed I didn't make a big enough notch in the feedneck tube. So, back to the mill!

New notch:

And the feedneck pressed in and cut to length:

I like that... a lot. Hope you don't have too many velocity issues with the shortened lower tube, but it sure looks awesome.

I've got an LPC coming but I here that the 2K's were just extended banjos. So if that's true then I'll chuck it up in the lathe and make my own LPC then.

Also, I don't think the stock WGP swing frame will stay on it, hopefully I can find a double trigger hinged DYE frame.

My other thought was..... should I make it a pump?

The problem with midget cockers is that they need a seriously strong main spring to put enough force into the hammer to open the valve. Think of the two inch kung-fu punch. Without time/length to get the hammer to speed, you need lots of kinetic energy.

Means you'll run a higher LPR, and have lots of kick, which if you're shooting fast enough will make your barrel walk.

Pumping it will remove most of those issues. But the pump stroke will be noticeably stronger than other cockers.

The best option is an MQ'd E frame. MQ removes the lower internals, and free's up the whole reciprocating mass. Less kick, less pressures, better consistency. Keeping it mech is the worst of the three.

Interesting..... well if this gun has the same issues as my other gun I should be good on the hammer spring side. My other gun's IVG is turned in 5/8" and I took 3/4" off of this mini.

Naw, I understand where you're coming from, this is more of my "pistol" cocker, 10 round feed tube with 4 oz. CO2 tank.

Someone made some extended IVGs (Acid customs I think?), that would be worth looking into.

Got the ANS valve, PI on/off ASA and the DYE drop forward today, slowly but surely.

nice clean work. hopefully you wont have any spring issues.

fyi thats a halfblock, not a midblock

im thinking a nice single trigger frame or slider would look pretty nice on there and go well with the simple milling. i always thought those model wgp frames were pretty ugly and a lot heavier than they needed to be.

Yeah, I keep saying mid block for some retarded reason. As for the frame, I've been looking for a slider or a DYE double trigger hinged frame (on my other cocker and I love it!)

It would be cool if you got one of the orracle double triggers and ground off the bottom trigger hump. I know dye made a single trigger hinge, but It would be a shame to cut one up to fit.

Looking good so far.

The DYE actually fits without any cutting, that's why I was wanting one of those. The finger guard doesn't stick out as far and comes back toward the frame at an angle to clear the reg. Unlike this factory frame where it humped out a bit (cleared the ASA) and hit the reg since it goes straight down.

I highly recommend going for the extended ivg it was a complete pain in the *** to get a cocker to work migetted with traditional springs.
