Another thing I love about cockers is the sound they make when the recock almost light metal shotgunish vs. The poppy sound I would hear with the electro guns.
And regarding shooting and performance from my game over the week end everything shot "straight" it rained all day, I took out plenty of people and I still went through about a case of paint.
No need to get a new electro gun just yet.

I guess hinge or slide is a preference thing. I've gotten so used to walking a trigger that it feels funny to only use 1 finger on the trigger. I like my hinge just fine. Besides it means I don't have to reverse the hoses on the 3-way. I suppose for the sliders out there reversed hoses is "normal" to them.

I just wish the side to side trigger wobble could be removed. All my electro's have bearings in the trigger and so there is very little wobble or play in the trigger. I don't see a way to modify the frame to add bearings. Never mind that a full trigger pull is around 1/8" at most on my electro's as compared to almost 1/2" on the cocker. I have my set points really close so the sear releases in the first 1/16" and the bolt opens about 1/16" after the sear releases. Any closer I get blow back. I'm going to add a set screw to the trigger to act as a trigger stop. It doesn't need to go all the way back to fully cycle the gun.

I would have prefered a slider on my EVO, but I got it for a good price. And it is undrilled.

I used my AC for big games over my DM since I don't have to worry about batteries, air and I shoot about 50% less paint.

I even have "WGP" jewels on my DM9! Bugs people out when they see it.

^ I noticed that too! I went from over a case in a big game/scenario to a little over half case depending on the day. And Pictures of the "WGP" dm9 would be cool

I'm playing in a 2 day scenerio at the end of April. I'll be bringing my cocker and several other guns. I expect my paint usage will go way down while using the cocker. I am guessing 3 cases of paint for the whole afair if I use my electro spool's.

I like the jewels! So can you put pneumatics on that DM and turn it into a cocker?

Finished and ready to rock!

It's a little difficult at first to get pics to work right.

1. Set up an account on photobucket
2. Upload your pics to photobucket
3. Create a post and in the tool bar there is a button with mountains on it. Paste the URL to your picture at the prompt.
4. Submit and you should be good to go.

Photobucket has a useful feature that helps. Mouse over top the picture and it pops up some tools. Click on the direct link option and it copies the URL for you that you will need to paste in at step 3 above.

Is that the Deadlywind ASA? How do you like it? I was about to switch it with my current CP setup. The PE and Dye ones are soooo much pricier.

It is a DW asa, but for some reason it doesn't vent. It's an ASA I had laying around. They aren't very good quality. I will buy an NDZ inline twister for it probably next month so I can eliminate the rail. The DW dove tail is slightly too narrow to slide onto most dove tails on gun frames. I have tried this particular ASA on several guns and it wont slide onto any of them.

This past Sunday I finally got to use my cocker in actual games. I was completely thrilled with how it performed. I used maybe 1/3 as much paint as I would on any of my spools and my shots were far more predictable and consistent. It was ridiculously efficient on air. If needed I could still pull off 8bps or so. A lot of people looked at my gun and had no idea what I was shooting. I guess I'm kind of used to that since most of what I own is made by macdev and people ask if it's a spyder or who knows what. My only complaint is that some times I want to pull my gun in close by putting the tank up higher on my shoulder and then when I fire I smack my mask with the bolt. Minor details I know. I will definitely be using this gun very often. I'me going to a 2 day scenario at the end of the month. The cocker is going to see some serious game time!!!

I have always disliked those old regs. Who ever in their worst nightmare invented an HPR that you have to take apart and degass the gun to adjust? They worked just fine, but good luck!

Nice old gun...have seen one in that condition in a very long time.

Palmers Stablizer is still a great reg and you can adjust is add gauges and apparently for shipping cost they will rebuild it.

PS I don't work for Palmers just a fan.

Yeah they're a pain when you're trying to tune one up, but I like how they look on them.
