If someone retaliates for being assaulted, good. When we all sign up to a paintball tournament we acknowledge that we may get shot, alot, during a game of paintball. To be shot, alot, outside a game of paintball could be considered a criminal offence. That is the magnitude of what we're talking about. Someone else can go through and see who initiated the assault and who was defending themselves but if it wasn't accidental, there isnt much difference than throwing a punch.

I understand why you feel that way. That said - there's a huge difference between 3 seconds and 3 hours.
Huge.

It's not that huge. Some guy shot a dude not during a game of paintball. How many times have we seen that in the newspaper?
I'd love to see the data from the chips and see who did what and when. I have my suspicions based off prior behavior, but there certainly is recorded documentation to which guns fired, how often they fired, and when they fired.

Im with GB, I see two guns rolling the entire time. XSV shooting over the carwash. Both guys let the emotions get the best of them. You gotta give JRab props for apologizing.

True, but if someone was shooting at you after the buzzer for that long I would stand up for myself and shoot him back

For some reason that struck me as funny.

You're the definition of a *******...
Both of your posts make no sense. What does criminal offenses have to do with anything, it happened at a tourney, a few seconds after the game. If you want to talk about red lobster maybe you should go there instead of running your mouth on here. Jrab, Propst and the XSV dude (still don't know his name, like a ******* myself) all were in the wrong. Plain and simple. Who cares if you're retaliating. In my mind, that is worse, because you don't have the self-control to deal with your anger and let Jrab and Propst get the punishment. They all assaulted each other, and you can kill people with a paintball... So add attempted murder, and make it assault with a deadly weapon and have them all put in jail. You agree yes?

it happens in highly competitive sports.
i hold nothing against the people involved, guilty or not.
if they are in-game penalized, i have no problems either as it's in the rules not to overshoot with malicious intent.
to crucify someone for it?, don't be silly and grow up.
i've been in a way worse shootout situation myself once in practice (i felt really bad afterwards, but in the end it was the poor lighting's fault as both players didn't know what was happening) and we resolved it with no hustle.
and on a couple of times me and my team have had our googles break from other teams illegally overshooting us in the hopes of holding us back from quick runs in the finals. there are even videos posted of it.
at the end of the finals, we all shaked hands, smiled, took pictures and moved on with our lifes.
i hate those ****ers and look fowards to beating them hard on the field. but other than that, i'm not naive enough to hold any real life grudges or even judge on people i wasn't even at the field with or against.

Yeah, like you said "after a game". I'm not sure what it says in a socialist state like California, but around here, hitting the guy in the face with a heavy object would be legally justifiable reaction to it. I have never signed a waiver at an event or any field acknowledging that I would be shot with paintballs other than during a game. Do that **** to me, and you'll be ****ting out your own teeth.

you don't sign a waiver for that purpose...you sign a waiver so that if something goes wrong, accident wise, and its your fault, you can't sue the establishment for what happened...you also consent to their rules and regulations and say that you'll follow them...note that this doesn't always happen but i don't think i've ever been to a field that stated you wouldn't be over shot while playing...i'd love to see you beat the **** out of someone cause they over shot you...now that would be assault...and you'd look like a 3 year old...

Except that overshooting happens DURING a game. After a game, it's self defense.

Nate, he already looks like one claiming I'd **** out my teeth... You're probably the type of dude who gets mad when he gets shot when you are riffing or walking off. why do we allow people like you to be on here?

People who will stand up for what is right?
Maybe you'll let someone walk all over you in that manner, but I dont condone that behavior after the whistle. I have zero issue answering violence with violence.
Edited to add: I'd still like to see the gun data collected by the league to see who actually did initiate it.

then you'll have zero issue with a REAL assault charge...i don't let people walk over me but i understand that there is a time when you just need to take the higher path before things get out of hand...like this whole issue, its gotten waaaaaay bigger than it needed to be...and we all just need to drop it and let the nppl do their thing and let damage do their thing and let all of us do our thing...
