I can say Drew Templeton's gun was running 3 ms dwell, 1.5 turns out on the back cap, short spring and 122 PSI, chronoing in the upper 290's. Not one broken ball all weekend.

How was efficiency at those levels? Was he filling up a lot?

If I had to guess it would be pretty good efficiency, i mean very short dwell, very low pressure...

I've run low PSI (120) before with my Lurker bolt and it was very inefficient.

With those setting we are getting about 8 pods and a hopper. I could have tweaked the setting and got more out of it. But we where happier never breaking paint and did not want to mess with a great thing.

Yeah, that sound signature is DEFINITELY sub-130PSI. Sounds more like a little "thpt" than a shot, I love that ****.
edit: Nice bunker move at the end there! Two-piece to the mask from less than a foot = Profit.

Is using the regulator and leaving the back cap alone the preferred way to chrono the axe with your bolts? When you say 122 psi, you mean the pressure shown on the gauge of the reg/relay?
What is the bolt trying to accomplish? In other words what would I be looking for if I were to buy it: efficiency, consistency or just easier on paint?
Lastly, just to be sure, is the only difference between XSV/Infamous bolts the color?

We are set up for being very gentle on Ultra Evil paint. Yes the only difference is the color.

Do you recommend setting velocity with 1.5 turns out using the regulator even with stock bolt, stock dwell?
