ROF-fi chips were pretty easy to install on all the guns on my team. I heard a lot of complaints about how they were "ruining guns" etc, but honestly there is no way a chip would fry your board. I can't wait to see my "stats" from this event.

At each event, you get 7 with your entry fee right? Do you need a new chip every event? Or are they reusable? If so, voila. Just continue to hang on to the ones you receive.

I would assume that it might be some time after the Virtue staff arrive back home after the event. It seemed like the installs went smoothly, the refs might have been a bit more ontop of checking if chips were installed & being used by the right players on the field but I am sure that things will all be a work in progress while the addition of this technology is adapted into the NPPL.
Thanks for sharing the video & for the VIP beers & food.

You get one chip per REGISTERED player ON THE ROSTER. We rostered 7, we got 7 "free" chips. I purchased an extra chip just in case.

That is not true. I had 8 registered players on my roster and I had to purchase the eighth chip. You only get 7 chips for 7 man.

These chips shorted out all our Ego9s and made our teams Legends shut off after about ten seconds. We also got penalties for guns capped on the board at 13 that were shooting 19+ apparently.

You got screwed. They announced each rostered player would get one free.

Yeah I know. I went back and talked to them and was told "He worded that wrong in the captains meeting. You have to buy any additional chips."
But that was also the same guy that when I asked why the D4 schedule has changed so many times his response was, verbatim - "It comes down to stupidity, ignorance and well, we just f***** up."

What day was this happening? This was not brought to my attention, we tried to address any technical issues that came up(which were not many) but you need to come to us during the event.
Also I know not all teams had time to test the chips at registration but we did have a bunch of Legends and Ego's. That were used/tested just fine.

We couldn't even get the chip to plug into the legends. It's like the harness was wrong. We didn't have time to fix it, w had constant games on Thursday for D4 7man. Fortunately after lunch we were able to buy new Egos which worked well for the rest of the day. But starting with only 5 working guns for the first 4 games kind of killed our day.

Yeah Chuck blamed the schedule change on someone who wasn't even there until later Thursday. When I said I was upset there was no explanation or heads up, he just nodded and said they tried their best.

I'm pretty sure I seen a few Legend guns with the chips. It's possible you had the wrong harness? I'm sorry if this effected your tournament and in the future bring your gun to us so we can look at it. I personally wasn't there all day but we had staff at registration wed-friday from about 6:30/7am-6pm and at our booth on Saturday Sunday.

We had two legends not fit the original harness given and when it was replaced with the 'right one' they still had the auto shutoff problems.
