50 cal vs 63 cal....

did a test a few weeks ago with the diff of 50 cal vs 63 cal, anyone else think that 53 cal leaves a smaller mark but a more distinctive and more of a sting then the 63 cal?

I've never heard of 53 or 63 caliber paintballs before.

Funny thing is that there was briefly supposed to be a .63 caliber football shaped round for the Macho Fire, and there was .62 for the SMG-60 from Tippmann. I did think it was unlikely that anyone had a real interest in comparing them.

i believe you'll need a smaller energy to shoot a 0.5 cal so it means 0.5 cal is an energy saver and number of shots should rise in the tens or maybe even in the hundreds up,but its not necessary so - depends a lot on the model, but 0.5 cal generally has a better potential in that field.

if you're using 50 cal, are you allowed to go over 300 fps? since its smaller and lighter and everything

Nope you don't you just have to deal with the decreased range, accuracy, breakability and other disadvantages of the smaller paint.

its less momentum, but i think fields that have it are still 300 tops. although i dont think its going to catch on much past younger kids. although it hurts less and cheaper; for real tourneys its too small to distinguish some rub and a break, easy to wipe, and low range.

I actually own a 50 cal nano, used it yesterday for the first time in a few months....
It's accurate, fast and dosent break paint...range is slightly shorter.
Used it against 68 cal on the speedball field....eliminated a lot of people!
It's not as bad as some claim, mostly people who don't shoot it a lot....if they ever have at all!
I enjoy using it, its a pity it isn't more popular.

.43?

I am hearing a lot about the .43 RAM sidearms. Any feedback on how these compare to .53 and .68?

Thanks

falsity false falsy mcfalseson.

i know you'll throw around pseudo science, but the mass and density is the same, and the decreased surface offsets the decreased weight so its basically the same.

and, you may throw a video around, but remember that the barrels won't be as nice as most aftermarket .68 ones that people will use, and that they will most likely use the nicest tournament paint for .68
