Where are you moving on the east coast? I'm an advanced open water diver, feel like I could learn a thing or two.
Do you do any recreational diving, if so what's your favorite dive spot thus far?

Yeah, I've seen some pretty crazy fish. Nothing you wouldn't see at the Monterey Bay aquarium though. I tried not to focus on the scenery as much as possible, work required my utmost attention.

Hmm, that's tough. Lobsters are pretty cool to play with I found some old raybans off the coast of Washington, I gave them to one of my cousins. I found some brass spikes that were used in WWII construction. I've found a few other things like that, sunken treasure

What kind of HAZMAT certifications do you have to have in order to HAZMAT dive?

I can't remember the names of them, but I remember some of the tests.
For example, you had to inflate the suit, invert yourself (so your feet are floating), and flip yourself back over. It's REALLY hard and REALLY hilarious.
There was another one where, underwater, you crawl through this waste pipe. ****ing NASTY and pitch black. You had to go a minimum of 30ft in, which is a LOT harder than it sounds.

So I went to visit and check out DIT last week and the new facility is awesome. I wish I could've gotten more pictures but I was so immersed in the tour and everything going on.
Old
New
If everything works out as it should I'll be enrolled by August.

This is cool.
What did you major in (or recommend to major in) for this type of job?
Have you ever seen any whales?
What's the biggest animal you've seen under water?
And a weird question... Do you believe in mermaids, or heard stories about them? I saw a documentary on Discovery channel called "Mermaids: Bodies Found" they're not like pretty mermaids, their whole body is scaly, and weird as ****... I think it's on Netflix if you want to watch, it's actually pretty interesting.
If I think of any more questions ill post again.
