No Dye at NPPL HB?
Just spoke to someone about getting a reg sleeve at the event. She said Dye isn't going to have anything there. WTF?

Sounds like they're jumping the bandwagon to stick with just PSP this year. IMO sounds like a good idea.

Assuming it could have something to do with vendor costs to occupy the particular booth area. And that they are a Gold Level PSP sponsored company.

Dye is one of larger companies in the sport so this really surprises me... They are definitely losing out by not having a venue in HB.

Unless Dye wasn't allowed to attend, for the reason you mentioned... Similar to GI not attending NPPL. And Valken not attending PSP. Personal conflicts and preferential treatment. (i may be wrong about the whole GI and NPPL, but thats what i have seen)

I don't know about all that. Chicago notwithstanding, Dye hasn't been at nppl events for years. I believe they just decided they would support one league. And that the superior format was xball. And that they would funnel thier sponsorship dollars into one league. Notice the ironmen also don't play the nppl. Haven't for years as well. I think that Chicago is a special case in that cpx hosts both events so they don't even need to move the truck. Pack it up and let it sit a month. Other than the cost for the right to sell at the event, if there is one, it seems like the additional cost is negligible

Dye was at NPPL about 3 years back, BUT they didn't have a setup selling gear, guns, etc. It was just an informational booth and they were passing out flyers/catalogs.

Also Dye is not seen as a 7 man company in my eyes. If my thinking is correct there is only one pro team using Dye guns in the NPPL (Damage). Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Now that is just ridiculous. Dye should be taking taking full advantage of the NPPL tournaments.

Dye and Kee have both decided to only sponsor the PSP because they believe that a single pro league would be better for the sport. After the shenanigans with the merger failing last year companies are starting to vote for their favorite league with their feet. They've decided that the short term gain from sponsoring multiple leagues is worth sacrificing for the long term gain that would happen if there was a single league and format.
