I'm using the GNex toolkit and select the CDMA 4.0.2 option at the beginning, so unless there's some programming trickery going on here it should be flashing the CDMA version.

Got MIUI 2.3.30 flashed. Pretty neat, but it's a little bit slower/laggier than stock.

I don't know what phone you have, but MIUI will get extremely smooth with some adjustments. I prefer it over stock.
Look into the various scripts available for your phone.

Finally bit the bullet and unlocked my gnex. Axiom crossbreed is pretty nice so far. Haven't noticed much difference with the 4.0.4 radios

I've been using MIUI on my Evo4g for about 7-8 months now. Absolutely love it. It does take some tweaking to get it nice a smooth, but once you're there it's my favorite ROM. MIUI + Tiamats and I've had incredible battery life. Also the shortcut features are very useful. (Long press back = close app completely, hold home on lock screen turns on torch, and plenty of others)

If you guys are undervolting, how low are you going? Are you undervolting each profile? I've never messed with that before with my other phones

I think undervolting affects all profiles, but I'm not sure. The other guys will be able to give you ballpark numbers but it all depends on your individual phone. You might need to bump your voltages a bit higher than theirs depending.

Yeah, miui is my favorite. I've been playing around with V4 for my phone. It's got flaws (since it's so new) but it's awesome.

Try a factory reset or a new rom. I'm running go launcher and really like it. But I'm on an aosp rom. And I did like sense based roms more till I found this launcher

yeah, its a trade off, i was running cm7 with zeam launcher and i liked that a lot cause apps would open fast etc. but there were a lot of touch screen deadzones, weird lockscreen problems, and volume issues. now im running android revolution which is sense based. camera is optimized, gpu makes for smoother animations. everything runs better with less issues, except its slower. home screen takes a while to show up sometimes, and i get a decent amount of force closes on the launcher. i re-flashed it a while ago and i got better results so i havent messed with it but now idk.
i like flashing roms, just not all the time. lol. i would rather just have a stable phone.

Finally dropped my tbolt again and it shattered more of the screen.
I want to turn it into the insurance as "lost" and keep the phone to use as an iPod basically.
Do I have to destroy the SIM card so that they can't attempt to trace it? I'm not sure how that stuff works. I just want a new phone. This one won't last until my upgrade in December.

No need to destroy the SIM card. If it's "lost" then someone might try and use it. Simple enough logic.
