Oh, and here's my father's old Raptor. I don't think it's been gassed up since 1998.
What model is this? I have the same one, but can't find out.

Model? You mean as in model number? 1443.
It's the original Raptor.
This particular one has a low serial; #596.

Sorry, that's a F1 illustrator, not a Raptor. Plus that pump arm would get hooked on the ball detent if it was setup like that, so i'm calling shens.

The green one is a first gen Raptor, VERY first gen, as it has a round ASA and green plug caps. Later green Raptors (and all other Raptors) had hex shaped ASA's and black body caps.

Also green Raptors were Right side Powerfeed, other Raptors were left side powerfeed.

As for what models you have, aside from body color, the important thing to check is the generation of your internals. Early internals had a thin linkpin that easily broke. This was addressed with the 2nd gen internals, with a new linkpin, bolt, cocking knob and spring guide. If your spring guide is threaded, it's probably 2nd gen. if you can screw the cocking knob into the threaded bit on the linkpin, is definitely 1st gen.

Hope this helps ya all.

I am hearing that these raptors are very similar to the F4 illustrator and that many parts will swap out. Do you know if the poppet valve swap out?

the barrels are interchangeable, but the valves are not. However I DO have a F1 valve and stem in a box of parts...

Upgrades:
J&J Black Ceramic barrel
external rear velocity adjuster
MaD wood grips (from Mcarterbrown)
Sharkgill sight rail (unknown mfr)
black aluminum feed plug from F4 Illustrator
Anti Double feed mod
Polished internals

Not as Pretty and Fancy as msweeneygt's Black Beauty, but like all Raptors, it's a solid workhorse, and being black, great for woodsball.
Taso makes the sight just bought one but mines ailver7

They are hard to find in anay color these days. If you have a green Raptor, it may not fit totally right, as greenies were right feed, all the others were left.
