Need help Fill nipple problem

i bought a new gun and i screwed in my tank all the way and it leaves my fill nipple digging in my wrist.
It drives me CRAZY!!!
i played with it as is this weekend and my wrist is all brused up and it hurts like a mother trucker

Is there anything i can do to make it not do this?
