this .

i rarely see people go all out and run what their bikes can run in the 1/4 , in cars 95% of people seem to go all out.

also drifiting dicking around in the snow is so much fun. with the fear of falling on bikes you dont go balls out. cars you dont think about crashing as much as you think about falling.

Cars =/= motorcycles. This is why people hurt themselves.

The people who go out and buy the fast bikes first tend to be the ones who get bored with it because they never find out where the fun is. Just twisting the throttle gets old fast.

His original post said he can't afford a sports car. I forgot how annoying you are. Most people never go to the track ever that is fact. Deal with it.jpeg

it makes it pointless.

a metaphor for a picture that isnt there.

why not just say deal with it. Do i really need someone to make a mental image of someone dealing with it?

No regrets at all. From the time I was 14 I wanted a bike, but having a trauma nurse as a mother, there was no way that was going to happen. Was too broke when I went to college to buy one until I was 20 and finally financially set to do so, and haven't regretted it since.

The best piece advice I can give to you is one that was given to me when I first started riding and that is to pretend that you are invisible. In your mind, pretend that every single car on the road is unaware of your existence. This has saved me countless times.

As for first bike, do some research. A lot of people are going to say start with a 250. If you have a little experience, say on a dirt bike, and you know the basics of how to operate a motorcycle I'd personally say you'll feel like you've outgrown the 250 in a months time. Look for a good median like a Ninja500/GSX500. They're light enough, and forgiving enough on the throttle to keep you out of trouble but have enough power to make you giggle after your first time going WOT.

FWIW I still own my 250 and bigger bikes as well. Never got bored with it. Street riding in general is what got boring to me.

OP needs a cbr1000rr though.

I've rode off road bikes all my life from 5 to now. Started with a Honda pw50 and have a cr125r and a yz426f now(also have a Yamaha bw200 and a yfz450) but I'm looking to get a 250 or 500cc bike to just mess around with to save on gas a little. I can handle a 600 700 1000 ect but dont need anything like that

Hopefully the Craigslist is nice to me.

if you ride a 426f now you are going to seriously lol the first time you snap the throttle on a 250r.

I know what you're saying and the guys at work say the same thing. The 426 is a HOT bike though. I just need it for short runs around town for small things. I kind of want a r6 for driving to work or an r1 for the right price. I like Yamaha a lot

See if you can ride one before you buy one. I've had two and they're the worst supersports for street riding out of the big four.

this. i hated my friends 09 r6 it wasnt comfortable for cruising around on. a good bike to cruise around on that has some power but isnt uncomfortable is a 650r imo. if u get an RR bike its for more spirited riding not just putting around town.

No

a supersport is your worst possible choice. The 650r would be great, or an SV

Is a bandit 1200 for a first bike a worse choice then a 600 sport bike? Or better?

the bandit and a 600 "supersport" are completely different im willing to bet the 1200 makes 25% less power and will probably be 100% more forgiving. but i dont really know anything.
