Which solenoid used in a production gun (does not have to be currently in production) do you think used the least amount of electrical power to activate?

I believe the EGO solenoids are pretty low, but I have heard that some TIMMY noids were also pretty low draw... I personally Like higher drawing noids, just because I know the power is going somewhere. Remember, you can always regulate the power using capacitors inline.

Humphrey and SMC both have a .5w piloted solenoid, as opposed to the 4w direct acting MAC33.

Humphrey does have a low power .1w pilot option for some solenoid valves, that can be used with the existing bodies, but the flow is lower on the pilot, .005Cv vs the .010 on the normal .5w pilot.

I'd like to add that the -101W option on those solenoids are even less power hungry. They remove the LED and the flyback diode... How much energy saving, I have no idea.

SMC have low power consumption. Ego's use modified mac43's which are everything but efficient. Generally solenoids with pilot valves use less power. If you use solenoids under 1Watt you generally don't need a capacitor.
