1st Alien

I am really interested in trying an alien marker... I don't have the money to buy something new (so the rent idea is out) and I am leary of paying too much for something I've never tried. What type of alien should I be looking for?

If you are really on a tight budget, look for an 06 interceptor if you can find one, otherwise go for the independence 07+ either way you can't go wrong with anything Alien..

Having come recently come from an ego, I can honestly say it is one of the worst feeling poppets on the market for me. I really like timmys (gen 3-new) and macdev markers (07 borg was best poppet I've owned), so I am hoping aliens fall into that category as well. I enjoy seeing Jack Rice so involved in the community, which is one of my main motivations for looking.

being the gun whore that i am, i've owned a lot of markers, all of them, i put up for sale within a week once i received it... except my alien... i've owned it for more than a year before i put it up for sale. and then i wasnt really even going to sell it

i bought my 2010 indy on an impulse because i needed a gun for a tournament that weekend, some say i over paid for it, and i couldnt disagree more. The gun blew everything else i owned away pretty much. in terms of smoothness, and reliability, and feel... the thing is a work horse.

I did a search and didn't really see any 06s... as you can tell I'm looking ~$250 range. I picked up a BL protege that I may add to the deal once I get it running. I just really want to know which models are considered values. In eclipse world 07-08 egos are hailed as some of the best models until 2011.

I`ve owned a few egos; An SL8R and Ego 8.

I personally will never shoot another ego after owning my Indy. My Indy is smoother, more efficient, fast as lightning and feels much better in my hands at least.

I picked one of these up with the Tadao OLED board with the intent of using it for a while and if I didn't like it...sell it. But I have to tell you, it grows on my every time I play with it. It is super smooth, much more quiet that my son's EGO 11 with the Hush bolt and just as efficient and quick. It is definetely taller than most later 09+ EGOs but if you have big hands like I do, it rocks. I think that if I sell it, I will later regret it so guess I am hanging onto it. It simply shoots fantastic....

by far my favorite marker every was my 06 ceptor.
I have tried to kill this thing I've played in mud and in the woods and in freezing cold temperatures. Truth is the guy I traded with for it lives in Alaska and played with it on a regular basis even in 6 feet of snow. I have nothing but good things to say about Aliens..

Nah I wouldn't get anything under 09 to be honest. Before that they can be troublesome unless you like to tinker. After 09 they're awsome.

Don't get me wrong, the older ones were still awsome when they worked. My 06 remains with mac noid was killer! Took a bit of work to get it there though

Hey, whats all this bst-esque business? Keep it to pms.

05 interceptors are good. 06 interceptors without the mac noid would be fine as well. If you get an interceptor you want one with the humphrey noid in it.
