I used to have issues, especially when I'd bring the kids to play a scenario
and I had 4 or 5 of my markers running at the same time. I realize that
this brings the statistical probability of having a failure up, but kids want
to play, what you gonna do? back then I was always trying to keep every
gun up and running, there was always an issue or another... all solved by
acquiring more reliable guns, namely Plane Eclipse, it is just so rare that
you see an Eclipse gun not working, totally worth it in my opinion...

It only happens to me at this one field, I can't go there without something not working. It pisses me off that I have to be stay in the parking lot when the game is starting.

One time I had an Ego 8, Etek, and 2 Spyders all not working. They all shoot fine at my house a day or two before, but of course when I get there nothing wanted to work.

But every time I've been there, I've had at least one marker not working like it was a day before.

My Cocker leaked so much I finally gave up trying to fix it. That was after I'd put $100 worth of repairs into it in the first place. Now I'm a Tippmann owner who still dabbles with 'Cockers...

I used to go to the field with a single gun and then if there were issues I was down until I got it going again. This past week the first time ever my Rotor batteries ran out in the middle of a game. I fired the rest of the game using the dejam lever. After that I went back to my truck and got my spare rotor out. I was back in business in less than a minute. I go to the field with a spare Rotor, spare tanks, spare batteries, o-rings and spare guns. I may have to drop out of a game, but that's about it. I just pull out spares and I'm running and gunning again. So far I have never had a real gun failure beyond a dead battery. I also test my guns the day before I go to the field. I have a chronograph and make sure they are all running at 280fps. After every day of use I pull the bolt and relube. I clean off any paint residue as well. With all the spare stuff I have with me and tools I can fix anything I have barring a blown solenoid, but by then I would have grabbed another gun. I have spent more time fixing other peoples gear at the field than I have my own. I literally never go down longer than a single game. If you can afford it get a spare gun, loader and tank. Then you can worry about glitchy stuff at home and not at the field. With the extra stuff I carry I can equip a friend and still be OK.

Lmfao, one day your gonna be sorry you treat your stuff like dead hookers bro...just sayin!

I mean if it's that difficult for anyone to take a few measly screws out(most guns are tool-less now anyways) you need to start playing with nerf guns or something.

There definitely are so many things that go into the technical details including weather and quality of paint that sometimes you're just screwed. Over the many years I've been playing I've had a number of occasions when all my backups failed. I still tinker with the stuff the night before, and that often causes issues when I get to the fields, so I try not to tinker with everyyyyything and now I carry a backup hopper and backup bottle and backup semi and a pump, as well as tools and fixit kits for everything pretty much. And spare batteries. I try not to over maintain the guns, just keep them cleanish and with fresh batteries and with the shocker give it a lube job every couple weeks, the G6 I haven't dont much for yet...
Happily, and let's not jinx this, my setup this season has performed very well except on one ultra cold day, but that was as much an issue of the paint being bad than gun problems.
OP What's your setup?

that's why you always need to have a pump in your gear bag. something goes wrong with that and its an eassy fix

I had to fight with my BT Delta Elite for a while before I finally got her to come around and stop fighting me everytime I went to turn her on. Occasionally will act up but usually a small issue like a blown O Ring or something of the sort. No Big Whoop.

I think there are a few things at play here:

Age. Just like cars, there is somewhat of a lifespan. Certain parts are only going to last so long before they need to be replaced. The difference is that those who take care of their stuff tend to have stuff last their whole lifetime. Then there are those who never take care of their stuff and end up selling/trading it before it breaks down.

Timing. It is going to happen, but sometimes it just happens all at the same time. If only one thing needs to be fixed, you might not notice it. If everything needs to be fixed at the same time, then it builds up and gets very frustrating.

sadly sometimes you just get a lemon lol, im going to say just make sure you keep up the maintainence and hopefully it won't happen as often, or maybe its about that time to replace the marker
Mint etek setup!
