He has ZERO problems making tourists pay those rates. I guess you either didn't comprehend what I wrote about other examples or you didn't read it at all. He charges "walk ons" with no equipment like $50-60. They get a mask, a marker, a CO2 tank, and 500 paintballs for that price and he STAYS busy.
I can get a hotel(nice one too) in my town for $45 a night. That SAME exact room in OC is $150. Same beds, same linens.
I can also play golf in my town for $30 a round, that SAME round of gold in OC is $125. Same grass, same bunkers.
I also pay $2 for a beer at my local bar, yet I have to pay $6 for a beer in OC for the same thing. Do you see how all of this works in a resort town now? Again its very simple economics.
His monthly lease for the prime real estate property he uses is $2500 a month. That's just the lease payment, no other expenses. If he were to charge $35 a case paint he would go out of business in 3 months or less.
Would you prefer he charge $30 for air and lower his paint? Or perhaps charge $50 field fee and lower his paint?
One last thing for you to help you understand these so called "high paint prices". I'm going on a family vacation next month to a different resort town. I'm going to have fun, relax, and enjoy myself. If the restaurant I go to sells Mountain Dew for $6 a can I'm buying because I'm on vacation and I'm not caring about the little things. If the beer of my choice sells for $11 a bottle in this town I will still buy it because I'm enjoying myself. This is called TOURISM.
