Alan Madison and the rest of those evil ****s producing this show are purposely manipulating it so that the people on the show look crazy when they are not. The producer and editor even offered one of the "preppers" $1,000 to shoot her cat on camera because her real reasons for preparing were too sensible for the sensationalist retard fest that is National Geographic.

everyone knows the whole 2012 thing was like a year ago...? when the Mayans made the calendar leap years didn't exist and their years were shorter (the had 28 day months based on the moon i believe) so over 2k years of leap years means were all safe

How is this relevant to the threat...at all?
People prepare and stock necessary food, water, etc so that they can survive in the case of disasters ranging from natural to man-made. |

A mod on another forum that I visit said that she knows some of those people, and said that the directors of the show intentionally skewed a lot of what they said to make them seem more crazy. It makes sense, it's a show about crazy people doing crazy things so they try to make it seem as weird as possible.

And the majority of people I have seen on the show are fat and out of shape. Try not eating so much and you won't need 5 years worth of food to get you through one year. One lady was only concered about eating good food when the world comes to an end. she was the fattiest of the fat
