What was your very first paintball experience?

Hey, all you "young guns" out there! What was your first paintball experience?
For me, it started in the summer of 2006. My dad brought home a book on paintball from a library book sale. Specifically, that book was Rick Sapp's "Paintball Digest." Needless to say, I read that book cover to cover so many times it fell apart. Having read that, I was hooked even before I'd played! My friends all played, so I consulted them on what to buy and where to play and other such things. On a trip to my local Wal-Mart, I happened to see a beautiful blue Viewloader Triton II. The minute I got home, I went on PBreview and looked it up. It had a glowing rating and most of the reviews were good. So, I saved my pennies from working as a farm hand (I was about 11 at the time, old enough to work for the farmer up the road from my farm), and swiftly aquired enough cash to buy my beautiful marker, which I named, creatively, Blue. My first time going, I played against my friend and my dad, who also had a marker. My old farm in Ohio had about 80 acres of woods on it, so we had a fine time building bunkers, sprinting over fallen logs, and shooting each other. That was my first of many games since. I look back and have no regrets. The $80 Wal-Mart gun still works just fine, and I get particular pleasure in bunkering players with the new 675,000 bps electronic markers with it. That was how I came in to the sport! Now share your story!

My first paintball experience was when I would watch my brother and dad clean their guns in the garage. My dad put a paintball gun in my hand when I was four. I ended up shooting our house. The first time I played paintball was when I was six and that was with my brother and his friends in the woods behind my house. I wasn't much of a target and they had to go easy on me so it wasn't very competitive. I'm heading into my third year of competitive paintball.

The first time I ever played was when I was 8. We had a rental house and when the people moved out they left a bunch of stuff. My dad found an old spyder sonix, jt elite mask, 9oz tank, gravity hopper, and barrel in a closet. He brought it home and gave it to me. He was friends with a guy that had a homemade paintball feild beside his house and we went over there and played (my dad borrowed a 98c from one of the guys out there). After that, we were hooked. My dad bought a model 98 and we started going every other weekend. Now we play at least once a month

August of 2008 at Wanna Play Paintball in Dillsburg, PA. Still one of the best days of my life. So much fun cause the most experienced players there had only played a handful of times so everyone was on a level playing field. The feeling of getting that first elimination was indescribable

It was back in 1999 in the woods in front of my house. Just four people...my father, two friends of mine and obviously me. My father and I had Spydern TL's, one friend has a Model 98 and another had a Spyder Elite. We were shooting white and pea soup green nelson paintballs. Mine as well been marbles they were so damn hard.
