that might be how it goes down but what if he was speeding at such a clip that if he was driving normally she would of been fine to pull out but because his closing distance was much greater than she expected it caused the accident.
you don't take out one of those polls driving 45mph.

Some of you people have obviously never been in an accident.
I'm guessing he was going around 50, and thats all it takes. I was going 50 when I got in my accident and I rolled my truck a few times.
You can't simply just correct your vehicle after smashing through another car. It happens faster than you can control it usually, and the impact distorts you, especially when you have 5+ airbags going off around you lol.
