Started out like this, got her for $50 with all pictured on Craig's List from a guy who played like 3 times and gave it up. The barrel is a pretty decent aftermarket barrel, pretty sure its a PMI. I also have a 16" Dye Xcel barrel for it.
After I painted it myself with some paint I had lying around in my basement and a stencil cut out of an Easy Mac box...
After installing an actual Tippmann double trigger, new ball latch and polishing the internals:
Nothing special but for $61 (including double trigger and ball latch), I definitely cannot complain. Makes a great back-up marker/loaner for friends who don't own a marker. Sadly it rarely sees the outside of my bag since I got my Proto Matrix Rail...

So one Saturday my Wife came home from garage saleing with this nice M98 with a flatline she picked it up for $25. I took it apart today and it looked like it had been stored in a mud puddle. Time to polish.
before polishing
After polishing
Back together and shoots great

Haven't fired this thing in anger in....many years. Stock except for a 14" barrel (not pictured), a hell of a lot of mill work and a new paint job.

M98 modded
Original model 98, flatline barrel, vert. asa adapter, ICD reg, milled lettering, milled sight rail, milled to fit double trigger and guard, cut return spring from old single trigger and jb welded to new double trigger, milled the velocity lip, added rear velocity adjuster, cp asa with on/off, tippmann drop forward, filled in pat. # And warning lettering. Gave it a new paint job.

Next: maybe warpfeed or qloader, R/T or ebolt, LP kit and verticle feed.
