To be honest, there isn't much to say. It's a boring shot
.

The people could be easily cloned out but you shouldn't waste time doing it. The front bumper is clipped off, angle's not very interesting, colors are off.

Shooting cars in a public space that's out of your control is tricky, there's people meandering around and it's tough to get angles that don't involve distracting background objects. Attempt to fill the frame with the car you're trying to snap or make a nice multi-car composition. This is some stuff I shot at the Philly auto show this year, it's not super fantastic by any standards but just to give you an idea of what I mean.

Vignetting can also help to really focus your subject if there's a lot of other people/things in frame that distract the eye.

I can't tell if it's a white balance issue or a really bad split toning, but the hues are waaaay off.

Ok. I think I may need to calibrate my monitor. Ignoring PP, how are they?

College friend is doing her senior project and needed to film in an "orphanage" type atmosphere so she asked if she could use the basement of the church I work at. I got home from another event as they were wrapping up.

I would have really liked to see the bg more in focus for the rooftop shots. The skyline looks interesting and I find myself wanting to see this guy in that interesting setting instead of trying to force him out of it.

I believe the scar is fake. Otherwise it would still be bandaged because it looks brand new.

Story about the kid with the scar?
stage makeup/special efx. The kid was supposed to be in an orphanage. His crazy sister cuts him open for a scene. I'm interested in seeing the end result because the acting was pretty horrible. Also, they started cheering among themselves because they thought their lighting for the scene was awesome and it was annoying. It was basically just one hot light bounced off of a white board with lighting in the BG smeared a bit by bokeh. shoopdawoop :/

The team that used our basement were those "scene" kids that seemed like they knew better than anyone. I walk in and try to make a bit of small talk...they are using my place...I gave them permission to.

But they set the stove on fire with pizza...then don't tell me about it...they leave crap everywhere...go upstairs and "borrow" toys from the nursery and neglect to go put them back. They borrow a lamp from upstairs and then just set it on a table and I don't think I heard a word from any of them that was close to a thank you.

Also, I get yelled at by people that things aren't back to the way they were before they got there.

So, that's the story. If you guys are going to do projects at someone else's property at least give them a heads up on big things happening that night (a fire in the stove would have been nice to know about). Also, put things back exactly the way they were or else the person who let you use their place gets talked to by the staff that is over the area that you took stuff from.

And all of it wouldn't have been a problem if a bit of thanks was shown when I showed up to make sure everything was going well.

::TLR::

Was for a few scenes in a movie. Scene kids from college that are seniors think they are Spielberg but my evaluation was they sorta stunk.
