If it were me I'd get a better mask. I think that one is single pane which is much more likely to fog up on you. I'd also go and try masks on at a paintball shop to see which is going to fit you the best. Otherwise, looks good.

Yep, overall a decent package, but go with a good thermal mask. I just saw Vents Helix masks in a local store today for $30 with a thermal lens. If your mask budget is $50, you can do better than a single-lens mask that. I'm not even sure if you can get QLS lenses anymore, either.

Change the mask, and the pod pack. Get a cheap 3+4 like Proto's. Honestly, a 2 pod won't do any good. Unless you shoot like a pumper, then go with it.

Don't buy that mask... Just buy a like new/slightly used set of pro-flex's on this website. You can get pretty much any mask on here for $50 except the new Dye's. As stated earlier, hands down the pro-flex... or Dye i3's, vent's, profiler's...
Edit: Actually, you should buy all your gear on here. When I first started paintball I spent nearly 2k on brand new gear. This past year when decided to get back into the sport I bought better gear on here for less than $600. Including the gun.

We've had a store in the past, but not in several months. Any of the deals in BST are buying things from users on the site. A lot of the staff also sell personally owned gear. If you've got concerns about buying from an anonymous-ish person online you've never met, there's the feedback ratings you can check out, and there's also staff members who will do third-party shipping between the buyer and seller to be sure nobody gets ripped off.
Truth be told, I couldn't tell you the last time I bought major gear new. Correction - I bought a Prophecy new, from one of the staff here who ran a store at the time. Pretty much everything I have is second-hand, because it's just about the only way I can afford to have really nice stuff.

thanks for the reply. i was having some concerns about the anonymity of buying online from others, but it looks like the site offers some good countermeasures to it.
i don't know if i'd want to buy a used mask tho.. but everything else might be a good idea. i'll just buy this nooby sh!@ new and buy bigger upgrades used as i get back into the sport.
tbh finding these low cost items used, bidding on them and waiting on shipping seems like more of a hassle then it'd be worth.

I'd get a better mask and tank. You can get a pair of flexs or grills on here for pretty cheap. As for the tank, a 48/3000 doesn't hold much air and they are heavy since they are aluminum instead if carbonfiber. I used to only get a hopper and 2-3 pods off my 48/3000 before having to fill up. You can usually find some pretty good tanks on here for around $80. I recently picked up a cp 48/4500 for only $70 on here

What's the field's name? You can check on here.
Also, about the mask. That's a very good mask, but the foam sucks. I'm not going to tell you to not get it, but if you want a great mask with a good price, I recommend the Proflex.
However, if you can't afford it yet, that's fine, it can wait. The Invert Helix did great until I got Events.

FULLY customizable masks. That's the main reason why people like them so much.

The issue with the Proflex, in my opinion, is that the lens system isn't an easy switch. A guy I know and myself too have both hurt ourselves trying to change lenses in the JT line of goggles.
Empire and V Force make a great goggle overall. The lens system is easy, quick, and you can find parts for them everywhere. The Helix goggles are great beginner/getting back into paintball goggles with the addition of a thermal lens like Pump Scout said.
Hope you have a blast out there, my friend.

Many fields can't or won't -- it doesn't matter. A carbon fiber 4500psi tank can be filled to 1000 psi if you want to. It is worth it to get a carbon tank just for the weight savings alone, and they almost always have a much higher quality regulator than those aluminum 45ci 3000psi tanks. I haven't gotten a fill over 3000 psi for ages, but it still works for me. And if it's a 68ci tank, you can still get well over 1000 shots on a 3000psi fill with most guns. If you don't shoot a lot or have easy access to fills a 45ci/4500psi tank might be an option as well. I use one on my pump and it lasts several days of play on one fill, and weighs practically nothing. Those aluminum ones are just too heavy, in my opinion, and have worse performance usually.

i used to use the profiler.
wouldn't mind picking one of those up again, would that be a good choice?
i have my old 68/4500 carbon fiber tank. i'll go get it inspected since it has that date where it needs to be done. maybe i'll just use that if it passes.
