That would be pretty awesome if they landed Mario Williams to go along side Peppers. The biggest thing thats been holding them back has been their receiving corp. Whats the deal with Urlacher? Is he healthy? I seem to remember a pretty gnar gnar injury at the end of the year.

i would laugh so hard if Bmarsh ends up going to jail or something for this assault trash.
didnt urlacher just have a bad bruise or something and nothing serious? it looked nasty but i didn't think it was that serious

Yeah I want to say it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked but I don't remember. I just remember it looked nasty.

And simultaneously spit in the face of about 46% of the offense last year in Matt Forte.

bears are retarded. If they had just used the money they pissed away on taylor, barber and bush they could have paid forte.

Why would Bush want to go there? I feel like he could have made more money and been the starter on another team.

Basically:
They brought in Bush as a chip to lower the pressure of signing forte on anything long term. Now they can Tag him without any overcoming worry that he will hit in response. Basically they have a backup back who would be starting anywhere else. Even if Forte sits the season and leaves next year, they will be moderately padded.
Secondly, why buy the cow when all you wan't is milk? Seriously, they are going year to year with Forte right now? What incentive do they have to sign him on a long term contract? If he would get injured over the next two years, they can kick him to the side with no long term ramifications. When that time comes up and they are forced to look at signing him long term or letting him go, sure it will cost them a couple million more but it's what you get for non commitment production. Hell the way the RB has turned into, they can pick someone up in the draft for very little who will still produce 70% with the same workload.
