Seriously, this is the ONE event of the year that actually IS worth the money.

You won't have a better time anywhere else.

Take a quick read through this other thread along these lines. Short version is that this is the most amazing event you could possibly attend. It has it all, from old school to the newest of the new, vendors, NPPL happening on site at the same time, the most incredible field you'll ever play designed by Hollywood set builders, and, oh yeah, the most intense, fun, insane two days of paintball anywhere ever.

In the events I've gone to in the past, I've heard of people flying in from Europe for this event.

If you've never been to CPX before, you should google for videos of the place. The fields there are really spectacular. Bedlam is probably the coolest. The place is also immense. One of my friends found this "lost temple" type thing out in the woods. So much to see and do. You won't have enough time in a weekend to do it all.

Exactly why you should get to the field Friday morning!

And don't forget, as an added attraction you can always stop over at the NPPL Chicago Open and see some of the nation's top pro players in the tournament. This is the only event in the nation where you have a professional tournament and one of the world's most well-known scenario events all in one weekend at one of the world's most amazing venues.

I know people who are unemployed, yet making things meet to come to this event from out of state because they love it so much. It's worth it.

If it puts it in perspective, I am flying home for post deployment leave, after spending 7 months in Afghanistan, and spending the first weekend home packing up the car with some friends and making the trek down to Joliet, just to be here. I am flying from nearly halfway around the world, just to be at this event. Yes, yes it is worth it lol.

Its paintball's all-star game. Some of the best players in the world for both Speedball and Scenario come together for a great weekend. Tons of vendors. There are events going on starting friday morning and go through Sunday night. The CPX owners and staff go as far as they can to make sure its the most amazing weekend of paintball ever.

legends is the largest event in the Midwest and we call it an event because in addition the the scenario game it's also host to the NPPL's Chicago Open, and all that implies, scenario and tournament venders, being able to rub shoulders with legends from days gone by and the latest tourney players, at one of most state of the art fields in the US.

indeed! leaving wed night, arriving thur morning. Hanging out at the venue thur night/all day fri.
