I seek the wisdom of fellow 09 owners!!! S.o.S

My first question is about the regulators, I suspect the gun is climbing in pressure, as I slightly turn the the hpr on, and it leaks out the front valve..When I press my finger on the front cap hole, either
A. A seal will catch, and the pressure would build up intensely(with a light turn of the hpr mind you), the longer I hold my finger the more pressure it would build up
B. seal doesn't catch, and you hear the valve core humming do to the high pressure passing through its seal... And it will also start slowly leaking out the grip frame, but I also imagine this is due to over-pressurization

So as I wait to get a snap ring plier to fully inspect the regs, I noticed the piston won't stay inside the lpr housing, it will click back in, but it feels like the spring is pushing it back out.. Is this spring pressure correct? Or should the piston sit in the reg like the hpr's... I suspect that this may be the problem for the climb in pressure

Any 09'ers have any suggestion's??
*and not going to lie, I love GOG. BUT I have heard of nightmare repair stories, so this explains me trying to tackle the problem, cause if anybody is breaking this gun, it's gonna be me!!! Haha

Does anybody know any smartparts tech's who would appreciate the impulse's "delicate curve's" and put their magic touch on the gun

IIRC, the last time I took apart mine the LPR piston wouldn't sit flush either, and wanted to push out of its housing until I put it back in the gripframe, so I think that's fine.

Thanks for your input, that's good to know!!!
Now if I could just figure this climb in pressure deal...
