Short Background...
Just after the new year I had a vanos pump fail on my M5. BMW wanted $6500 to fix it. Long story short lawyers almost happened and they goodwilled it so it got fixed for free. After that though, I was terrified to drive the car anymore with no warranty. I thought it would be expensive to fix but not
that expensive to fix. The search began for a replacement car. I wanted something stick, can be easily driven every day in new england and hopefully was better on gas than the M. S4 seemed like the obvious choice. Looked at one but it was too expensive. Then I started looking at cheaper cars, looked at a 370z (too small, loud, just generally hated that car) looked at a mustang GT (interior is god awful) looked at a 08 GT500 (kinda liked that) then started looking at 10 GT500s and I was pretty much back at S4 money and the S4 is better on gas, more comfortable, and I just like it better. A decent deal came up on the interweb and i grabbed it.
It's a 2010 quartz grey 6-speed manual with 17K miles. I'm a wicked noob at the stick, but I like it so far. Miss my M5 a little at the same time. But this has warranty until 8/16 and that makes me very happy.
