personally i have never found a need for elbow pads. my jersey is good enough and im not even sure what the point of elbow pads really are, if they are just to protect your elbow when u dive or slide then i dont understand why a jersey wouldnt be good enough.

Because you should be wearing your pads while you dont "have" to, so that you never REALLY "have" to. Protect your body, or when you get to be my age you will regret it.

Any eclipse elbow pad. They all rock, and are nearly identical.

The new PE pads are my favorite pads I've ever worn. Dyes, empires, protos. I'll take the PE's.

I have scars that disagree.
The empire prevails I just got seem decent for the price, I haven't played with them yet but tried a few dives with them. The elbow has tons of padding.

i do not know anyone with empire elbow pads, so I'm not sure of the quality or durability on those but i have been using planet eclipse elbow pads that i got for 45$ new at my local pb shop and i really like them, very comfortable, i get a lot of bounces off of them, superman sliding doesn't effect me one bit, and if u wear a jersey over them ( like i do ) i believe they won't ever rip or get damaged, mine still look new except for the little thumb area.

i bought those elbow pads in 2009 when they first came out, i played with them about 4 times an they completely came apart. i then bought a pair of planet eclipse pads and ive had those for about2 years and not even a rip. LOVE EM!!!! id say buy eclipse, no matter what year, i think i have the 09's or 10's.

do you play xball at all? have you taken a dive to the snake or dorito? pads not only help bounces but absorb the impact of a 3-4 foot drop to the ground on your arms. it kinda hurts without elbow pads...

The only arm pads I see people are using are either Eclipse or Dye. I have been using the Eclipse arm pads for 3 or 4 years now and they haven't torn yet. The Dye arm pads are also very nice, but are more expensive.
