Were you using the same HPA tank before you swapped fittings to Macro? Are there any tight turns in the Macro? Are you sure that your tank is full of air?
Did you make any other adjustments to the gun? Pictures?

If it is a low pressure tank or your macro is kinked, you could be suffocating the marker.

If the marker worked fine with HPA prior to Macro, so should it work now.

Very peculiar. You are certain the tank has air, right?

Read the manual. It would be under the recocking issues. Also you might need to stretch your spring ( P022 ) but do that only if all else fails http://www.mcarterbrown.com/manuals/...AOS_MANUAL.pdf

The Kaos doesn't have a reg

Kaos uses gas thru grip so HPA/CO2 shouldn't make a difference (except that CO2 is awful and all). Usually the machine gun bolt occurs when either the valve stem/cup seal have separated (or loosened), the proprietary striker O-ring is broken (or replaced with the wrong ring), or the valve spring has worn out. Call (909) 865-0688 or email me at pkeller@azodin.com for warranty service.

I had this same issue.
Is your air tank full?
Are you using a steel air tank or carbon fiber?
Will it still shoot after it does this if you cock it back?
