Is there USB connectivity, or some other easy way to get adjusted programming to the gun?
The ROF can be adjusted from 2 bps to 15 bps in .5 bps increments. Each mode of fire can be adjusted & saved individually.

Also it is possible to re-flash the board at Tippmann if a new mode of fire is required or a update is made.

I am a big fan of the AXE. But honestly the tippman Crossover will out last the AXE over the long run.

Why? I can't think of a single case where either would "out last" the other.

When it comes to higher end guns, we tend to see them drop off faster then more durable, versatile, and unique guns that are targeted at players around the entry level.

Ion is still around, and that company is dead, Jim.
Mini as well...

This reminds me of all the people saying how they would prefer the Etha over the Axe or Reflex because of how reliable it was even though the gun hadn't come out yet.

I'd just like to know how the Crossover is bulky and heavy compared to the Axe when it only weighs something like 8 ounces more.

Didn't Tippmann step up and acquire APS and its assets? And they nabbed NXe a while back...

I'd say Tippmann certainly won't be "sticking with woods ball" forever. And the crossover is a step in that direction.

As far as I know, this was just a rumor.

kind of off topic towards the current discussion, but my local field got 5 of the new rental guns, i got to test shoot a couple as i was reffing throughout the day, very good shooting guns in all honesty, consistent over the chrono too, from what i've seen, Tippmann did a great job with them.

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
