Pretty much. When dealing with a squad whose core has kept this team together for the past 7 years, it's not exactly intelligent to bring in a man who is not only young, but lacks any experience outside of winning a lot in one season with a STACKED Porto team.

That is ignoring the fact that AVB is young, I think Chelsea has ruined a promising managerial talent, but I have been proved wrong (this is a case of it I though AVB would suceed) and I hope I am proved it again.
Everything about his reign as manager was puzzling. Zero creativity. Puzzling subs. This season Chelsea fans saw the complete collapse of what was a formidable defense and offense just the previous season....guy couldn't handle it, at all.
I think the "Old Guard" has too much power at Chelsea. And yes, managers need time to settle in. I'm not justifying him getting the can, but at least wait till the end of the season as Chelsea are still in the CL and fighting for fourth spot. You're right though, if they're doing a TERRIBLE job they need the boot. EX: Roy Hodgson.

Got along fine with Carlo. The only one abused his power is Roman, and even though it's pissing me off, he is trying to do what is best for the club, even though lately he's sort of been sucking at it, he's still turned Chelsea into a big team.

I know all that. But Lampard supposedly had a lot to do with the dressing room unrest. Carlo was a great manager, but as long as RA is there I'm afraid its just going to be more of the same as far as managers lasting around a year.
