This League is a joke
They talk about promoting this league and getting it off its feet. And then Chris doesn't even come into the forum and share any information. This is unbelievable, and a complete joke.

We absolutely overestimated the amount of time we would have available this year to promote the high school league. We are, of course, still doing the regional champs we've always been doing, and still giving out the guaranteed free trips to nationals for the Regional Champions.
For next school year we are adding a few more volunteers to make sure we have enough resources available to push this effort.
Keep in mind, the NCPA is a non-profit and everyone who works on it is donating their time.

Chris, Im afraid to say that this league needs tons of improvement. I'd like to see actual tournaments for regionals, not 1-2 teams showing up and playing hopper ball. I think that having no paint cap would bring more teams in (and revenue). I realize that as a high school league, we get put on the back burner, but at least put some effort into it. If you need another volunteer email me at: alex@eckmans.com

I'd totally do the regional tournaments if they were close to my town. Trying to drive over a hundred miles to a tournament when your 16 isn't an easy thing to do. I've got two more years of high school, hopefully High School PB is lifted off by then. My high school has hope

Same here. We were supposed to drive 250 miles to Austin (from Dallas) for SCCC #1, and about 300 miles to San Antonio for SCCC #2. It's very hard to do these when you're 16.

That's just how tournaments work. Most of the time they won't be close to you but hey DFWAP is hosting SCCC 3 UNT hosts from what I hear. Im in your same boat, were in DFW too, but part of the experience is travel

And hopperball is the gayest thing I've ever seen, at least give us a full hopper and a pod.

Sadly yes (ncpa one). I can understand the reasoning behind it, but strongly dislike it. I think a hopper and one- two pods would be much better and would still be welcoming to beginners.

It's not really hopperball, you have to split 600 PAINTBALLS between your 3 team players. It's stupid.
