I believe the protected color is yellow this year, so you should be fine for NPPL. Personally, I never get any guns with yellow/gold, orange, or pink as the main body color.

protected color is yellow...... that gun should be fine. it looks like its light green and purple to me.

if he is gonna be playing lots of tournaments this season id say dont get it. try and find a gun that isnt yellow/gold with colored parts.

if you have to ask .....i dont have to say the rest its not like your limited to just that gun get a gun you dont have to ask if its legal.....one ref can say something and another ref can say another

Here's my take on this as an ex-NPPL ref...just don't use any equipment that would give a ref any reason to spend more time looking at you. Like guys who use yellow pods. You look quickly over at a guy and you see a flash of yellow coming from their pack, then I have to go check to see if it's a hit or not.

I wouldnt say so. Although gold will hide yellow paint more than a black, red, or blue marker would, the paint would still be visible. just like the guy said above, one ref might want think one thing, another ref might think another. just play it safe and get something that is sure to be legal.
