its funny you said something about those 3 bikes since i just started reading about them they look like everything im looking for and i could ride them on the street.
does anyone know if there is a difference other than tires for the "supermoto" versions?

Usually the front fenders will be a little shorter, rims will obviously be smaller, but other than that not really as far as I know.

i really wanted one too, but they seem to be lacking in the power department.
They're not underpowered by any means, but they're definitely not fast... for a bike

does anyone have some REAL data/info about power cones for exhausts?
I hear they don't work. I hear they work. I have yet to see any data for straight pipe and pipes with the cones added.

I've somewhat searched for it and haven't come up with anything conclusive. And the testimonials on HD websites are the last thing i'm going to believe.

You're also getting 2-3x the mileage out of pr2s vs q2s. Comparing the price directly is silly. Pr2s win $/mi by a huge margin.

Of course, they wont offer quite the edge grip of q2s but iirc the edges are pilot power rubber, which is pretty damn good.

If they're so ****ty then why does AMA have an entire class for just them?

Because it wouldn't be competitive in an open class? They are cheap with parts readily available?

You missed the point completely, the xr1200 isnt an apple in any way shape or form .. it wasnt designed to be a sportbike, it wasnt designed to even compete with sportbikes so why compare it to one.

http://www.cycleworld.com/2010/09/13...mparison-test/

Compared to bikes of it's own " class " it doesnt even hold a candle to them so how do you expect it to do so with an actual sportbike?
