It has been scientifically proven that the optimal barrel size is somewhere in the 12-16 inch range. Longer barrels see efficiency losses, and shorter barrels see FPS inconsistencies. Just take our word for it.
A 2" longer barrels increases your range by 2".... that's it. A 300 FPS projectile will go just as far as the next, no matter the barrel. (assuming there is no spin)
