Something Wrong With Pure Energy Tank

I was checking out my tanks today and the one that my brother has been using has something wrong with it. You can push down the pin easily when its empty. Just a simple push, no need to try. Also when you shake the tank you can hear some rattling inside of it. Its a 48cu 3000psi tank.

Doubt something's wrong with it. It is normal for the pin to be depressed easily when it's empty. That noise is probably the strut inside the fill nipple rattling around.

Totally normal on all counts. The pin being depressed is normal when no pressure is pushing back on the spring and pin. The rattling is the shuttle valve inside the fill nipple moving back and forth. When aired up pressure is pushing on that as well to keep it sealed.

By empty do you mean completely empty? It's probably fine; with no pressure inside the tank there is less resistance to pushing open the valve. The rattling is probably a spring inside the regulator that is lose because it is also not under any pressure.

Edit: Also what Tabris said.

Alright just making sure, my other tanks dont push down so easily when they are completely dry. But that makes sense, thank you!

They could have a stronger pin valve spring in them which is why they seem harder.
